Our Story - Faith,
Family & Service

In 2022, after a month of prayer and seeking divine direction, we acquired Georgia Door & Gate with a simple mission: to serve God’s Kingdom and our customers with integrity, transparency, and excellence.

Georgia Door & Gate — Our Story

Georgia Door & Gate wasn’t born from a business plan or a franchise opportunity. It started with a simple conversation — the kind you almost overlook — and a spark that refused to go away.

In 2021, Steve Bear, the original owner, mentioned in passing that the door company might soon be sold or shut down. Word reached my dad, and he shared it with me while I was working as a transportation director for a trucking company in Belleville, PA. I kept trying to brush it off, but the thought stuck with me for weeks. It felt like a door God had cracked open, and I couldn’t ignore it.

I finally picked up the phone and called Steve.
“Is it true? And… would you consider selling to me?”

We met the week of Thanksgiving. A handshake, a plan, and a whole lot of prayer later, the path forward became clear. After seeking God’s direction and trusting His timing, we officially purchased the business in July 2022.

What began as an unexpected opportunity has become something much bigger — a calling.

A Company Built on Faith, Not Pressure

This business runs on a different kind of fuel. We don’t pay commissions.
We don’t upsell parts people don’t need.
We don’t rely on pressure or scare tactics. Instead, we practice what we call radical transparency — a commitment to honesty that you can feel the moment we walk through the door. If something needs fixing, we show you why. If it doesn’t, we tell you that too. Value should always exceed the bill. Our standards are simple:
Fast, fair, friendly — every time.

The Second Mile Is Our Normal

We believe in going beyond what’s required. Washing garage door windows for a widow who couldn’t reach them.
Crawling under a house to turn off a spigot for an elderly customer.
Leaving a job cleaner than we found it.
Treating people like neighbors, not numbers. Small things matter.
People notice.
And God honors it.

THE BUSINESS IS DOORS. THE MISSION IS PEOPLE.

One of the greatest joys of this work is mentoring young men and women – helping them find purpose, discipline, direction, and confidence. When our employees thrive, their families thrive. Their kids are fed, clothed, cared for, and given stability. That’s the kind of impact that lasts long after a garage door is fixed.

We want Georgia Door & Gate to be remembered as a place that:

• Tells the truth
• Treats people with respect
• Invests in the next generation
• Honors God
• Does the job right the first time

Where We’re Going

Today, we’re a growing company on the edge of becoming a major challenger in our market — not because we’re the loudest, but because we’re the most genuine.

Private equity groups are snapping up family-owned shops across the industry. As they scale, many forget why they began. That gives us a unique advantage: people are craving honesty, genuine service, and a friendly voice that actually cares.

Our future is bright — not because of what we do, but because of who we’re becoming, and why we’re serving.

Our Story in One Line

We improve people’s lives by helping them protect what matters — with integrity, skill, and a heart for serving others.
