The overhead door for your application
Sectional Doors
Sectional garage doors should be your first choice of overhead door for several reasons. They offer superior insulation value to almost every other type of garage door. They offer great cost savings when compared to a similar sized rolling steel door. With their modular design, they are easier and more economical to repair as well. Sectional doors can be fitted with windows and even pass-through (man doors) for additional light and usability. We recommend a sectional overhead door for most situations.
Rolling Steel Doors
Unlike sectional doors with large panels, rolling steel doors contain hundreds of narrow, steel slats. These slats roll onto a large steel tube, called the barrel, to raise and lower the door. Rolling steel doors are much more expensive than traditional sectional doors but they are not without advantages. The heavy-duty steel slates make rolling steel doors are more secure then other types of garage doors. In addition, rolling steel doors require very little space beyond the door, allowing them to be installed where a traditional garage door might not fit.
Counter Shutters
Similar to rolling steel doors, counter shutters and security grills are made of steel slats that roll onto a barrel. Counter shutters are normally much smaller than a rolling steel door but function the same way. Counter shutters are perfect for school cafeterias, service counters, store fronts and walk up restaurants.
Rapid Roll Doors
As the name suggests, rapid rollup doors are design to allow easy access in and out of an operating area. Because most are made of rubber they are not typically used as exterior doors. Rather they are used in warehouse situations where one room needs to be climate controlled or closed off for some reason. Traditional garage doors are much too slow for most facilities with high forklift traffic. For exterior applications, hard-shell designs are available.
Sheet Metal Doors
Sheet metal doors are some of our cheapest overhead door products. Constructed out of tin, these basic roll-up doors are typically found in mini-storage facilities etc. They offer no insulation value and are not recommended for high use applications.
